GB Steel Group for fifth year in a row

in top 100 manufacturing industry

For the fifth year in a row, GB Steel Group made it to the Manufacturing Industry top 100, the annual list of the most successful manufacturing companies in The Netherlands. This year we are in 30th place. A great achievement for our group!

Companies in the Manufacturing Industry

The Manufacturing Industry top 100 is a list of the 100 best performing Dutch manufacturing companies, compiled by business magazine Management Team in collaboration with consultancy firm CFI. These are companies with a Dutch parent company of up to 500 million in turnover that are financially stable, achieve healthy growth and take the Dutch industry to a higher level with innovative products. We are therefore extremely proud that our group has been included in this list for the fifth year in a row and that we now belong to the top 30 of the most successful manufacturing companies in The Netherlands.

The strength of together

GB Steel Group is a family-owned company with more than 300 employees, and it consists of five steel processing divisions; Kampstaal in Emmeloord and Meppel internationally realizes complex steel structures for non-residential construction and industry. Nauta Heeg in Heeg distinguishes itself with heavy constructions for the infrastructure, offshore and industry. Kamplacon in Emmeloord and Ootmarsum feels at home in sustainable roof and wall cladding for housing, utility construction and infrastructure. Vossebelt in Geesbrug builds tippers, containers, loading floors, belt unloaders and more for the transport sector, municipalities and industry. MF Emmen is a mechanical engineering company specialized in components for the recycling market and general machine construction, as well as bridges and locks.

Within the group our divisions work closely together. We share knowledge and expertise to be able to work as efficiently as possible and to be able to offer our customers smart and sustainable solutions. And it works, as our 30th place shows! Turnover, turnover growth, profit and return on equity were measured by Corporate Finance International on behalf of Management Team to compare companies (more information can be found here).

Bob Soetekouw, General Manager of GB Steel Group:

“This year, our group once again made it to a good spot on the manufacturing industry top 100 list. The companies included in this list operate in different sectors, but all belong to the top players in their sector. We are proud that we belong to that top for the fifth year in a row. We will continue to operate from GB Steel Group to further strengthen our position and focus on realizing our ambitions in the coming year.”

Outlook 2022

As in previous years, GB Steel Group has a healthy order book. We are grateful to our clients for this trust. We also see our healthy starting position as confirmation of our hard work. But at the same time, we are keeping both feet on the ground, because we live in an uncertain time. The PFAS and nitrogen problems and especially the corona crisis have an impact on the construction, machine industry and transport sector. That is why we want to ensure that we as an organization remain progressive, especially in this changing world, and we will continue to focus on innovative and sustainable services to our customers in the coming year.
